LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL...OR IS IT?

“LIFE”. How do we know when we’ve finally got it right? Or do we ever? What determines our sense of accomplishment?  Is it our mind or our heart? Does it matter what we think, if what we feel, feels right? Are our thoughts determined by our emotions or, our emotions determined by our thoughts?  Does our mind overpower and direct our heart and the way we should feel? Should one outweigh the other? Do you ever wonder why we think and feel the way we do?

We have been taught “the ways” of life, but can we really follow a blueprint that wasn’t designed to accommodate our own perspective?

When it comes to matters of the heart, how much influence do our thoughts really have?

We drift through life not really knowing that answers to so many things until we are faced with them. And even then, what is it that determines the right answer?

Trial and error. Broken hearts and words unspoken; Silent battles that we fight that no one knows of, and through it all, a smile is painted across our face while we face society through the blueprint that we were taught to abide, when deep inside we break and crumble into a million pieces only to have to put ourselves back together like a puzzle missing pieces because, lets be real, are we really ever the same person after every battle and every storm? I’m not sure if that is a good thing or a bad?

What is life?

On the other hand, we have all our greatest victories, those same victories that were accomplished through some of our darkest moments. And what about all of those beautiful experiences that we’ve come to cherish deep in our hearts that no amount of pain could overshadow? Would we appreciate our scars and memories as much as we do, had we not had to fight for them?

Does life begin with the first breath we take, or does our life have meaning only after we’ve experienced a lifetime?

I wish I could tell you I had the right answer to each of your questions, but who am I to determine what is right for your heart? Every heart, every mind and every person are a world of their own. A marvelous and miraculous world.

I can however, tell you one thing from personal experience; When your heart finally catches up to your mind, something beautiful happens; Your soul is filled with undeniable peace and you realize that it was all you ever needed from the start. It simply feels right.

I’ve come to cherish every step that brought me to the moment I now stand in. The good times, the bad times, the laughter and tears, were all a part of what needed to happen to be able to experience life in its entirety. You see, one day (someday) things just fall into place; they feel right somehow. The heartache, the burdens and the heaviness you felt were never going to subside, they vanish. The thing is, life will be over before we know it. It is all temporary, the chaos, the love, the madness and the joy. We must learn to enjoy every last bit of the time we have left. After all, life really is beautiful. Wouldn’t you agree?
